October

October is a month of FUN! The weather starts cooling off (finally), holiday festivities are underway, and everyone gets to wear costumes! (Which is like a normal Wednesday at Casa de Shelton)

Four months old... better do my toe touches! Stretch.... stretch.... Got 'em!

 "What was that, Koala friend?"

"What did you say about the Longhorns? AND the Texans? Oh my..."

Thank goodness these girls are way cuter than the score of the game. (insert any 2013 match up here)

Daddy's company picnic! One of the first stops: the Armadillo Races. Don't let this picture fool you, Lilly was thrilled to cheer for those crazy mammals!

 Lilly loves pony rides!

So sweet, but is anyone looking at the camera?

"Hey, goats, did you know it's a picnic?"

"Have a fun time! Hope you get to win something in the Raffle!"

 Hooray for Super Slide Time!

And a Hay Ride to end the day!

Nana came to visit that day, too!

Evelyn was mesmerized by her sparkles and sweet baby talk.

Evelyn's Dedication at Houston's First Baptist Church

"I prayed for this child, and the LORD has granted me what I asked of him. So now I give {her} to the LORD. For {her} whole life he will be given over to the LORD."
 1 Samuel 1:27–28

Mommy and Evelyn, who is wearing the same dedication dress that Lilly and all of the other cousins have worn.

Big sis waiting to see Evelyn

 Checking out the Chapel

Playing stickers until the ceremony starts

Pastor Gregg Matte introduced us, and then prayed for all of the families. Evelyn got a little grouchy during the ceremony, but it was a sweet time.

October is football season! Check out this cutie tossing the ball with Uncle Dan.

October also means Pumpkin Patch time! We happened upon a gem of a patch in Katy at St. Peter's. So many pumpkins!!

Even Evie got in on the pumpkin patch action.

Who's ready to carve a pumpkin?

 Intent on their work

Reaching in to clean out the pumpkin goo

"Hey, seeds! Let's count them and plant them!"

Snow White, a tiny Dwarf, and the Handsome Huntsman.

 Who's ready to trick-or-treat?

Headed down the street with Daddy

Her first door... Before this door, she said she didn't really want candy, she just wanted to go outside and see all of the other kids.

 So, apparently, this is candy!

Ohhhh, boy! We *LOVE* candy!!!
